Election of council, officers and advisors and featuring a talk:
Preserving Four Centuries of New England Homes: Historic New England and Its Stewardship Program by Joseph Cornish, senior stewardship manager for Historic New England.
Joseph Cornish will discuss the history of Historic New England’s stewardship program, which now protects 76 privately owned historic properties across New England. Historic New England has also owned and preserved the Cooper-Frost-Austin House (pictured left), the oldest house in Cambridge, since 1912.

Cambridge was the home of the first printing press in the Americas. In a community known as the city of "firsts" - with the first sewing machine, the first center isle train car, and the first successful American use of a smallpox vaccine - the printing press was one of the most important. The Glover family brought it from England in 1639 with Stephen Daye, to operate it.
Soon the city housed the second and third printing presses in North America and, by the nineteenth century, a thriving publishing industry. As the times have changed, so has Cambridge. The city was one of the primary sites where the World Wide Web was created, and now the city supports many of the companies in the forefront of digital information management.
