William James Tour

Saturday, August 14, 2010

Although not born in Cambridge, William lived most of his life in Cambridge and spent the vast majority of his professional career at Harvard. He became known as the founder of American psychology, was the advisor to the first person to graduate Harvard with a degree in psychology, and has deeply influenced the history of thought in the cognitive sciences. This tour will explore James’ life in Cambridge, his family, and his relations with academic followers and rivals.
